Reno to Texas - 2004 In this gallery I have uploaded some of the images captured on a month-long trip taken in March and April of 2004. Lynn and I drove to Reno to visit friends and for Lynn to attend a national bridge tournament being held there. While she was playing bridge I went to see Lake Tahoe and Mono Lake. After she finished with the tournament, we drove to the airport in Sacramento and picked up my daughter Jodi who flew in from Chicago. We headed straight for Yosemite. After Yosemite we went to Sequoia NP, Death Valley NP, and Las Vegas where the ladies left me on my own and flew back to their respective homes. I then visited Valley of Fire and Zion. Charlie and Susie met me in Zion. We then visited Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, White Sands, Carlsbad and the Hill Country of Texas. Weather was a factor in Death Valley (they had their annual rainfall while we were there), Antelope Canyon (had to cut our visit short due to pending rain...slot canyons are not the places to be when it is raining), White Sands, and parts of Texas. Snow and rain at Carlsbad, but we stayed inside :o) The weather was stormy in Monument Valley while we were there, but that provided us with some interesting cloud patterns.
