  Egypt and London August 2002

In August  2002, Lynn, Kelley and I attended the wedding celebration for Rania Samaha and Wail Selfo in Cairo, Egypt.  This was a quick trip with four days in Cairo and two in London on the way back.

The main purpose of the trip was, of course, the wedding and to spend time with our friends the Samaha's.  The wedding was great fun (later, follow this link to see the Wedding Pictures, they're pretty doggone good!).  While in Egypt we did get a chance to see the Pyramids at Giza and I was able to spend an hour in the Cairo Museum.  In London it was rainy so we we mainly did museums and the Kensington Palace.

This site has a few pictures from Giza, the Cairo Museum, and London. The weather was not very cooperative in either location.  Cairo was hot and hazy and London was London.  Disclaimer :) In the Cairo Museum the lighting was poor, no flash was allowed and I didn't take a tripod, sooooo... the camera was handheld and with no flash, the exposures were anywhere from 1/5 of a second to 1/50 of a second, neither of which is conducive for sharp photos.

I used the Nikon D100 digital camera. Hope you enjoy!
